Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day

I was visiting the family in Las Vegas during St. Patrick's Day.  The adults decided it would be fun to get in the festive spirit.  We decided to play Leprechaun.

After the kids had gone to bed, my brother painstakingly stamped little footsteps from the front door to the kid's bathroom.  If you haven't done this before, you curl your hand into and fist and use the flat side to make the foot.  Then with your pinky, you dot the little toes.

We scattered chocolate gold coins and Lucky Charms around the steps.

My brother even made two footprints on the toiled and a shamrock.  He used green food coloring and green gel to make Leprechaun pee and poop.  Totally gross!  I thought the pee was enough.

In the middle of the night, my oldest niece (Arianna) got up to use the bathroom.  She came back to report there was something "weird" in the bathroom and someone made a mess in the living room.  I told her she must be dreaming and she fell back asleep.  In the morning, she woke up and re-discovered the mess.  By then, Aubrey, had woken up too.  It was a riot seeing their expression.

The oldest child insisted on measuring her sister's foot next to the green mess to see if it was her.  The middle child (21 months old) loved following the steps.  They found the Lucky Charms and Aubrey  dug right in.  Finders keepers!

Later that day, Arianna and I made Dark Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting.

Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day!!
