What the *@&$??

Wow...really? What the.....

I was going to harvest this eggplant but noticed about 1/2 of it was missing. Not only at the top, but at the bottom too. Can you see the hollowed out top and bottom? Geez, talk about buffet.

The little slime trail at the top was a dead giveaway as to the culprit. Needless to say, I slugbaited heavily around my precious plants.
Luckily, they left me 2 intact eggplant to harvest on my Ichiban plant. I'm glad it was consistent and ate the same fruit twice. I'd be really made it if chewed up more than one.

Slugs, this is war!!

Boy, these darn pests just can't seem to stay out of our gardens this year!! Don't they know that we don't like to share???

charmcitybalconygarden: I know. I didn't realize they liked eggplants either. Sooo not cool!! So far it was the only casualty.
