Preserving Dill Heads

If you have a lot of dill heads but not enough cucumbers, here's a tip. Snip and rinse your dill heads. Then pack them in a jar with vinegar. They'll keep long enough for your cucumbers to catch up and you'll be ready to make pickles!

I'll file this away for when I grow bushels of it next year, for pickling :)

Allison, Mac & Ben: You're welcome! I bought 2 bunches of dill heads for pickles but ended up not needing them all. It seemed like a waste but I'm glad I was able to save them. The aphids got to my dill this year. Little buggers!!

Does it need to be in the refrigerator after you pack them in vinegar? How long will they last in the vinegar?
