Pea Harvest

The peas seem to be doing really well in our cool spring weather. Here's the shelling peas. There are lots of peas on the vines. I'm letting them plump up a bit before harvesting. It's hard waiting. I love those shelling peas!!

The snap peas are also flourishing. They, however, were ready for harvesting.

My first harvests of peas for 2011!!

Those peas look delish! I've only grown snow peas, but I need to give snap peas a try.

Your pea plants look very health. Don't forget to freeze some for winter.

scrapper al-Thanks!! I usually grow snaps and snow peas. I like them for different dishes. Snow peas for stir fries and snap peas for fresh eating and snacking! I also love love love shelling peas! They're more work (shelling) but are the sweetest little things right out of the garden!

MKG-Thanks!! I'll try to freeze some but they never last. Heehee, I always manage to gobble them up!
