Planting Seeds on Kauai

While on Kauai, I planted some seeds for my dad. In this pie container are papaya seeds, winter squash seeds and kabocha seeds. Crossing my fingers that at least 1 of each grows!!

We also planted some flowers and vegetable seeds. In this tray are zinnias, carnations, cloeus, lettuce, peppers, tomatoes and basil.

Hello Holly, thanks for your comment. Interesting that we're both on-line at opposite ends of the day - it's 7.30 am here.

I'm not familiar with Japanese vegetables, so will be interested to see the results of your seed-sowing.

I remember some attractive spots in Kauai like Waymea Canyon, and the tree tunnel to Lihue you mentioned on your blog.
I hope my family will be able to visit Hawaii.

Hi Linda-I hope my dad's seeds come up! If you're interested, I have some Asian seedlings growing in my garden in Oregon. Stay tuned for updates when I get back!

Hi Charmcitybalconygarden-I also sowed some kabocha for my garden in Oregon. I hope they're still alive post-vacation! I wish I could grow papaya in Oregon too. I miss fresh papaya!!

Hi takaeko-I'm glad you have had the chance to visit Kauai before. I hope you are able to visit Kauai with your family too!!
