Leaf Miners Strike Again

My hoop and shade cloth has done a pretty good job at keeping the critters at bay. When I harvested my Swiss Chard, I noticed this. Grr!! Leaf miners strike agian!

Although I have to say that it was just a single leaf. The rest of my harvest was untouched. Hooray!! Nasty little buggers!!

I'll have to keep an eye out for this.

malay-kadazan girl-Good luck with them. Nasty buggers since they ruin the leaves! I feel like I was lucky to only toss one leaf. Last year they got most of my crop.

meemsnyc-Look for clusters of white eggs on the underside of the beet/chard leaves. They can get out of control pretty fast.

I've never have leaf miner attack but young worms of moss starts to feed my leaves....
Who knows when the fight against bugs will end ????

takaeko-Lucky you haven't seen the leaf miners. They destroy the leaves of beets, chard, spinch, etc. I'm never seen worms of moss before. *sigh* It's never ending isn't it?
